Liberale Ticinese Devincenti (11/10/1877) -> my great-great grandfather, came to Argentina.
"Liberal", as we know him, came to Argentina around 1897. It was said that the family had hotels in Switzerland, but they lost that business because of some problem with the church. Liberal arrived to Buenos Aires, and worked as a typographer in the journal "La Razón". He had very bad temper, so he was fired. He moved to Rosario, where he worked in the journal "La Capital". He was also fired. Then, around 1902, an english company started to build the railway between the cities of Rosario and Cordoba, and he got a job there. 200 km later, when the train arrived to Chañar Ladeado, a small city in the middle of the way, he met my great great grandmother Clotilde Coatti. And he stayed there till he died, working as a farmer. He used to say that he was an anarchist, and that he hated the catholic church. He never married and never baptized his children, a very strange (and antisocial) thing in that time. My great grandmother, Osmide Devincenti, baptized herself with 27 years, hidden from his dad!
